Precare Instructions
Overview
For best results and to minimize any potential risks, please follow these pre-care instructions before your Skin Classic treatment. Plan to go directly home afterward to avoid sun exposure, as sunscreen and makeup should not be applied on the day of the treatment.
Pre-Care Instructions:

Cease use of all Glycolic or chemical exfoliants.

Cease use of all mechanical exfoliants, such as scrubs.

Avoid waxing bleaching creams, or electrolysis on the treatment area for 5-7 days prior to your appointment. This helps avoid skin irritation and ensures optimal results.

Avoid sun exposure without a sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater. This treatment cannot be performed on sunburned skin.

Avoid tanning beds.

You must NOT have recently had laser surgery or used Accutane for 12 months.

Discontinue use of any topical retinoids for at least 3-5 days prior to your treatment. This may include: tretinoin, Retin-A®, Renova®, Differin®, Tazorac®, Avage®, EpiDuo™, Ziana®).

If you are prone to cold sores (HSV1 or HSV2), take antiviral medication for 3-7 days prior to the day of treatment to reduce/prevent an outbreak.

Some medications or supplements may increase sensitivity. Consult your physician.

Please avoid any laser or electrolysis treatments (of any kind) at least 7 days prior to your treatment; unless otherwise recommended by your aesthetician.

Avoid blood-thinning agents (such as Aspirin, Fish Oils, Vitamin E, and other blood-thinning medications) for one week before your appointment. This helps reduce the likelihood of bruising.

Important Note: Always consult your doctor before starting or stopping any supplements or medications.

Do not consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising or sensitivity.

If you recently received Botox or Filler, please wait at least 2 weeks before scheduling your Skin Clearing treatment to allow the injection sites to fully heal.

Postcare Instructions
After your Skin Clearing Treatment, please follow these post-care instructions:
Your skin may feel sensitive or warm for a few days following treatment, and minor scabbing may occur in the treated areas.
Post-Care Instructions:

The treated area may be temperature sensitive for a few days after treatment.

Expect the treated area to have redness/crusting.

Make-up can be applied AFTER the crusting phase has passed/falls off.

Avoid direct sunlight on the treated area and use a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen of SPF 30 or greater for 1-2 weeks after your treatment.

Cleanse and moisturize your skin twice daily along with any recommended home care products. Use a gentle cleanser and a soothing, hydrating moisturizer to keep your skin comfortable as it heals.

It is recommended that other topical, over-the-counter medications or alpha hydroxy acids not be applied to the skin 1-2 days post treatment, as they may cause irritation.

Avoid using abrasive products such as scrubs or exfoliating sponges for 7 -14 days.

Vitamin C Serums may be resumed after 48 hours.

Discontinue use of any topical retinoids and glycolic acids for at least 5 days after your treatment or longer based on your sensitivity. This may include: tretinoin, Retin-A®, Renova®, Differin®, Tazorac®, Avage®, EpiDuo™, Ziana®).

Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing and/or depilatories for approximately 1-2 weeks.
What to Expect

Slight scabbing and crusting may occur as the treated areas heal. Avoid picking or pulling at scabs to prevent scarring.

Mild Itching, irritation, redness, increased sensitivity ir normal. DO NOT PICK or scratch the treated area and keep it moisturized.

Temporary Hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin color) can occur in some skin types.
